Raw research findings for this medication. Mostly single studies, not curated or confirmed robust.
Inhaled adrenergics are bronchodilators breathed in to relax the airways by activating beta-2 receptors. They include short-acting relievers (salbutamol, terbutaline) and long-acting controllers (salmeterol, formoterol, vilanterol, indacaterol), used for asthma and COPD, the long-acting ones usually combined with an inhaled steroid in asthma. This page collects studies on them as a group.
PharmGKB lists a single low-rated finding for this group. The most studied gene for these medicines is ADRB2, the beta-2 receptor, covered on the pages of salbutamol, salmeterol and the beta-2 agonist class; large trials have not found its variants useful for choosing treatment. There is no CPIC or DPWG guideline.
Every published finding on gene variants and Inhaled Adrenergics. Upload your DNA file to see which of these rows apply to you.
PharmGKB weighs all studies of a variant and rates how strong the evidence is, from 1A (strongest) to 4.
