Molecular biologist and bioinformatician (MSc, University of Vienna). His research at the Max Perutz Labs, the Medical University of Vienna and the University of Vienna's Theoretical Biochemistry Group centres on RNA editing and the large-scale analysis of sequencing data: pipelines that take raw reads down to the exact position that matters. Reading what a genome says at a given position, and checking it against the studies, is the same work ReadYourDNA does with your raw DNA file.
ReadYourDNA is built and run by Martin Pechhacker in Vienna, Austria. I started it because the raw file from a consumer DNA kit holds far more than the vendor's own reports show. Most tools that read it either dump database lines on you or lock the interesting parts behind a subscription. I wanted one price, every number traceable to a study, and a privacy posture I would accept for my own genome: no trackers, nothing sold, a delete button that works.

ReadYourDNA deletes your DNA file once its analysis finishes and never sells your results; the site loads no trackers or cookies, and deleting your results is permanent, because genetic data is in no backup.
