Measles vaccines contain a live, weakened measles virus that trains the immune system without causing the disease. They are usually given in two doses in childhood, combined with mumps and rubella (MMR) or also varicella (MMRV), and are highly effective, protecting about 97 in 100 people after two doses.
The gene studies on measles vaccines looked at why a small share of people make fewer antibodies after vaccination. They linked immune-system gene versions (HLA-B, HLA-DRB1, HLA-DQA1) and the innate immune receptor gene TLR3 to the strength of the antibody response. The findings come from a few studies, and there is no CPIC or DPWG guideline.

PharmGKB weighs all studies of a variant and rates how strong the evidence is, from 1A (strongest) to 4.
TLR3 rs3775291: Level 3. Efficacy. 1.
Studies of how well it worked in people carrying a variant.
HLA-B HLA-B*44:02: HLA-B *44:02 is associated with response to Measles vaccines in children.
