Raw research findings for this medication. Mostly single studies, not curated or confirmed robust.
Propionic acid derivatives are the largest family of NSAIDs, sharing a propionic acid structure: ibuprofen, naproxen, ketoprofen, flurbiprofen, dexketoprofen and others. They block the COX enzymes that make prostaglandins and are used for pain, fever, arthritis and period pain. This page collects studies on this NSAID family as a group.
The studies listed for the family as a group looked at PLCG1, PLA2G4A and TNFRSF11A, from a study of NSAID hypersensitivity reactions. Gene evidence for individual members is on their own pages: CPIC's guideline on CYP2C9 covers ibuprofen and flurbiprofen, while ketoprofen and naproxen depend less on CYP2C9.

PharmGKB weighs all studies of a variant and rates how strong the evidence is, from 1A (strongest) to 4.
PLCG1 rs2228246: Level 3. Toxicity. 1.
PLA2G4A rs12746200: Level 3. Toxicity. 1.
TNFRSF11A rs1805034: Level 3. Toxicity. 1.
Study findings and evidence levels: PharmGKB (CC BY-SA 4.0). Guidelines: CPIC and DPWG, as bundled in PharmCAT. Most studies were done mainly in people of European ancestry.
